By Fascias & Soffits Anglesey
Fascia and soffit replacement costs in Anglesey depend on the length of your roofline, the condition of the timber and how the installer can reach it. A useful quote should explain the work included, not simply give a price per metre. Start by comparing the same specification across every proposal.
A national guide, not a price for your home
Checkatrade’s September 2026 national cost guide gives a broad range of £115–£185 per linear metre for replacing fascias and soffits. It lists guttering and scaffolding separately. These are independent UK estimates, not our prices, an Anglesey average or a quotation for your property.
An apparently straightforward run can involve awkward corners, a conservatory below the eaves or damaged timber behind the boards. Treat online figures as an early budgeting reference. A property-specific assessment is needed before agreeing a total.
What changes the cost of fascia and soffit replacement?
Length is only one part of the calculation. Ask how the roofline has been measured and whether the proposal includes the gable ends, return sections and any separate porch or extension. A photograph from the front rarely shows every part that needs attention.
Access should be described clearly. A low bungalow, a tall gable and an elevation above a conservatory present different working arrangements. Ask whether the quoted access allowance covers the whole job and whether it is included in the stated total.
Capping and full replacement are different jobs
A cover board fitted over existing timber is a different specification from removing the old fascia and replacing it. A lower capping price should not be compared directly with a complete replacement price. The condition of the supporting timber matters more than the neat appearance of a cover.
Ask what happens if deterioration becomes visible after removal. The proposal should explain how additional work will be documented and agreed. Our guide to fascia capping versus full replacement explains the questions to raise.
What should a clear quote include?
Look for the elevations covered, board material and colour, soffit arrangement, guttering specification and the treatment of existing ventilation. Check who handles removal of the old components and waste. Confirm whether VAT, access equipment and making good are included where applicable.
Request the product names and the scope of any written product or workmanship warranty offered. A long warranty headline is not enough by itself: you need to know who provides it, what it covers and which maintenance conditions apply.
Prepare for a quote in Anglesey
Send your postcode, property type and a brief description of the problem. Ground-level photographs of each affected elevation are useful. Mention restricted paths, extensions below the eaves and whether you want to keep or replace the gutters.
Whether your home is in Holyhead, Llangefni or another part of the island, compare the proposed outcome as well as the total. A clear scope makes it easier to decide which work is necessary now and which improvements can wait.
YOUR HOME. YOUR NEXT STEP.
